RETURNS
GEMaLiNGS Returns Policy
If a collected GEM arrives demonstrably broken or materially damaged during shipping, GEMaLiNGS.com will step in to help and will prioritize creating a new GEM for the collector. Once notified within 48 hours of delivery, collectors must provide clear videos and photos of the outer packaging, inner packing materials, and the GEM showing the damage. When the damage is confirmed, GEMaLiNGS.com may, at its sole discretion, replace the piece, giving priority to the creation of a new GEM in a similar spirit, using the same palette and style recorded in the GEM Registry as a guide.
Because every GEM is one‑of‑a‑kind, an exact duplicate is not possible; however, the GEM Registry stores colour families, finishes, and photos of the original, allowing the artisan to create a closely related companion or successor GEM that honours the original’s character.
What we will do
When a damaged‑in‑transit claim is accepted, GEMaLiNGS.com will:
-
Review all documentation promptly and communicate the chosen remedy;
-
Use the palette, finishes, and style recorded in the GEM Registry to guide any re‑creation;
-
Ensure that any replacement or successor GEM is treated with the same artisanal care and attention as the original;
The goal is to ensure that the collector continues to enjoy a GEM that feels true to the piece originally collected, while respecting the inherent uniqueness of abstract, artisanal work.
All collections are final
Outside of the damaged‑in‑transit exception above, all collections are final once a GEM has been collected and paid for. GEMaLiNGS.com does not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for:
-
Changes of mind after collection
-
Preferences about colour, composition, or abstract design not matching a collector’s evolving vision
-
Decor changes, gifting decisions, or “no longer needed” scenarios
Collectors are encouraged to review all photos, descriptions, and any available GEM Registry details before deciding to collect.
Abstract colour and resin finishes
GEMs are created with layered paints, metallic flakes, and iridescent pigments that move and cure uniquely within the resin. Variations in tone, shimmer, texture, and light play are integral to the nature of each GEM and are not considered defects. Differences between how a GEM appears on a screen and how it appears in person do not qualify as damage and are not grounds for return.
Collectors, not customers
GEMaLiNGS is designed for collectors who wish to build and deepen their collections over time. The GEM Registry exists to support this, preserving colour families, finishes, and images so future GEMs can be created to complement existing pieces, not to replace them for preference‑based reasons.
Questions before collecting are always welcomed so that each GEM enters a collection with confidence.
